24 walks/40 pages
Crashing streams, foaming waterfalls and cascades make for some exciting experiences and wonderful sights to remember. If days are curtailed due to rainfall there is no better way of spending an hour or two than exploring these spectacles. Although the 250 foot high Pistyll y Rhaeadr is regarded as the highest waterfall in Wales there are three falls which exceed that height in this area, Maesglase, Pistyll y Llyn and Rhaeadr y Cwm. All these have a mighty 600 foot drop. Perhaps the title for this book could be walks for wet days. For it is on these occasions, or shortly after periods of heavy rain, that these excursions really excel.
