Machynlleth is a historic Welsh market town surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain, making it an excellent base for walking. The twenty circular self-guided routes in this book follow tracks and paths which explore intimate valleys, tumbling streams, shady woodlands and wild moorland with magnificent panoramic views. This fully revised edition comprises the best walks from the previous edition of the Machynlleth book and 'Walks in the Dyfi Valley' which is now out of print. All the routes were walked in 2022, and the local Rights of Way officers have been most helpful in making improvements where needed.
